AEW star Ricochet is known by now for not holding back against his detractors on social media. The world-renowned high-flyer has now hilariously clapped back at a user for insinuating that Tony Khan might fire him next year.
Last month at Full Gear 2025, Ricochet participated in a Casino Gauntlet Match to crown the first-ever AEW National Champion, ultimately winning the bout and his first singles title in the company with a Spirit Gun on Kevin Knight. The Future of Flight has already mounted multiple successful defenses of the belt since then, retaining it against Dalton Castle at ROH Final Battle, against Ace Austin on Collision the following day, and then against Nino Bryant at RevPro Uprising just over a week later.
2025 has proven to be not only a successful year for Ricochet, but for AEW in general, and the company recently hauled in a number of recognitions in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Wrestling Awards. After Tony Khan expressed his gratitude to fans and to the SI journalists' panel for their votes in favour of his promotion, Ricochet responded by promising his boss even bigger things in 2026.
"Wait till 2026. 👑" - he wrote. When a social media user ill-advisedly tried to troll The Human Highlight Reel by asking if he is going to get fired from All Elite Wrestling next year, the latter hit back at the fan by correcting their grammar.
"You're** 🙄," posted Ricochet.Ricochet was in action this week on AEW TV
Some time earlier it was announced that the Dynamite Diamond Ring would be up for grabs once again this year. This week in Manchester, England at AEW Holiday Bash, a Battle Royale was held to determine the two finalists who will face off for the ring one-on-one later on Dynamite on 34th Street this Saturday. Thanks to the help of his allies The Gates of Agony (who were also participants in the match), Ricochet was able to survive as one of the two last competitors in the bout, the other being Bandido.
