AEW's immediate plans for National Championship revealed

The first AEW National Champion will be crowned at Full Gear. The company's plans for the title have been revealed.

A few weeks ago, Tony Khan announced a new title called the National Championship. He also revealed that a Casino Gauntlet match will take place at Full Gear 2025, where the winner will be crowned the inaugural National Champion. Ricochet, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and many more stars are expected to compete in the Casino Gauntlet match. However, not much was known about this new title until recently.

During the Full Gear media call, Tony Khan said he is very excited about the new National Championship and sees it as an opportunity to create a new tradition where champions can travel across the country and even face challengers outside the company. Tony also noted that no AEW title has ever been defended in Ring of Honor before. However, that will change when the inaugural National Champion defends the title at ROH Final Battle on December 5.

AEW has planned a stacked card of matches for Full Gear

Given that Full Gear is one of All Elite Wrestling's biggest PPVs of the year, the company has planned a stacked card of matches for the show. So far, nine matches have been announced for the main card. Perhaps the most highly anticipated match of the night will see Kris Statlander defend the Women's World Championship against Mercedes Mone.

The show will be headlined by Samoa Joe and Hangman Page, who will battle for the AEW World Championship. Another match that is sure to steal the show is the No Holds Barred match between Jon Moxley and Kyle O'Reilly. Tony Khan has also booked Kyle Fletcher to defend the TNT Championship against Mark Briscoe. This is a high-stakes match as Briscoe will have to join the Don Callis Family if he loses.

So far, Full Gear 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting PPV.
