Welcome, dear readers, to this week's edition of AEW News Roundup! Today we will look at various stories pertaining to talent who perform in the Tony Khan-led promotion, including "Hangman" Adam Page, Darby Allin and more.
A member of one of AEW's top heel factions has received a message from her longtime friend, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. All Elite Wrestling seems to now be officially referring to Adam Page by a nickname that a wrestling legend recently christened him with. A former WWE Superstar took to social media to mock Darby Allin after laying waste to him during a violent match earlier this week.
Let us dive in and take a closer look at these stories!
#1. Ronda Rousey sends a message to AEW's Marina Shafir
Marina Shafir made history earlier this Wednesday on Dynamite : Blood and Guts, where she participated in AEW's first-ever iteration of the Women's Blood and Guts Match.

Not only did The Problem dominate her competition inside the brutal steel cage bout, she also led her side to victory against the alliance of Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, the "Babes of Wrath" and the "Timeless Love Bombs" when she and Megan Bayne singled out and brutalized Mina Shirakawa, forcing her tag partner Toni Storm - who was being restrained by The Triangle of Madness - to surrender the matchup.
Marina's performance in Blood and Guts has been widely praised by viewers, who took note of some of her major spots, such as kicking AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander onto a bed of nails, blasting The Timeless One with a mirror to her face, and caking her own feet with crushed glass to stomp down on Shirakawa's chest.
Shafir recently took to Instagram to share a photograph of herself choking out The Venus in the closing stretch of the bout. The post elicited a response from her long-time friend and ally, Ronda Rousey, who voiced her pride in the Death Riders member, writing.
"I’m so SO proud of you!"

Marina also teamed with Rousey during her last indie run in 2023 after her WWE exit, even competing in AEW's sister-promotion ROH, where they defeated Billie Starkz and Athena.
#2. AEW highlights World Champion Adam Page's "new" nickname
Last Wednesday on Dynamite : Blood and Guts, Adam Page battled Powerhouse Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match, a bout that stemmed from The Embodiment of Willpower slamming the AEW Men's World Champion off of the entrance stage and through a table situated below during a trios battle a week prior.
The Anxious Millennial Cowboy returned the favor this week in a hard-hitting showdown that ended after Page knocked Hobbs off of an arena balcony, sending the latter crashing through a table set up with electrical equipment.
After the bout, the Virginia native was ambushed by Katsuyori Shibata and Samoa Joe, and the latter ordered for the Blood and Guts cage to be lowered over the rings so as to further punish Hangman. However, Page's recent tag partners, Eddie Kingston and Hook, arrived to even the odds and chase away The Opps. It was announced afterwards that the "Main Character" of AEW will take on Shibata on next week's Dynamite and Collision three-hour special.
The name by which the company's social media post referred to the World Champion - "The Hangman" - has recently been making the rounds after wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich alluded to Page by it while praising him. Furthermore, the latter referred to himself as "The Hangman" on AEW programming multiple times as of late, thus seemingly solidifying the moniker.
#3. Former WWE Superstar Pac reacts to Darby Allin's fate at AEW Blood and Guts
This year's iteration of the Men's Blood and Guts match witnessed The Death Riders take on the alliance of Darby Allin, Roderick Strong and the Conglomeration's Mark Briscoe, Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy. The babyface team emerged victorious after an incredibly violent war, with O'Reilly shockingly securing the win for his side by finally forcing Jon Moxley to tap out.
While Roddy Strong and the Conglomeration stood tall in the ring after Blood and Guts, the night ended less comfortably for Darby, who was double-teamed by Pac and the returning Gabe Kidd outside the cage. The "Mad Man" helped The Man that Gravity Forgot put the face-painted star through a flaming table from the top of an entrance tunnel. Earlier today, Pac took to X/Twitter to share a photograph of Allin scrambling amidst the fire and shattered lumber, mocking the former TNT Champion in the caption with a laughing emoji.

#4. Mercedes Mone shows off her injury after AEW Blood and Guts
Mercedes Mone played a big part last Wednesday during the Women's Blood and Guts match. She armed her teammates with several of her many titles from across different promotions, which they used as weapons against their opponents. She also proved instrumental for the heel side's strategy of locking Jamie Hayter, Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander outside the cage, although the AEW Women's World Champion ended up mutually neutralizing Mercedes with a Samoan Drop through a table.
The Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir ended up securing the win over Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Photographs of all the competitors bloodied and bruised in the aftermath of the Women's Blood and Guts on AEW Dynamite have been circulating on social media. Mercedes Mone took to X/Twitter a few hours ago to share a medical update of her own and show off the damage she sustained in the bout, posting a picture of a broken finger nail.
