AEW is set to present its signature and gruesome night, Blood and Guts, on November 12 from the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The night will feature the namesake matches for both men's and women's divisions, alongside other major matches that have yet to be announced. However, this year, the show format will see a huge change in its broadcast.

According to Fightful Select reader Devin, this year's edition of Blood and Guts, presented by Tony Khan's company, has been listed as a 2.5-hour show on TSN in Canada. They also spoke to a source in All Elite Wrestling who indicated that it would be presented as an expanded episode of AEW Dynamite.

Furthermore, the Blood and Guts will have some changes from the original plans after Penelope Ford went down with an injury. While no All Elite personnel confirmed it, it has been implied that the roster set for the show could have been a pivot to fuel more excitement for the upcoming show.

Tony Khan confirmed Penelope Ford will miss AEW Blood and Guts

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan confirmed that she will not be a part of the Blood and Guts match due to Penelope Ford's torn UCL injury. Instead, she will be replaced by a long list of wrestlers on the roster eyeing that key spot in the match.

"I'm also going to be making more announcements tomorrow about the women's Blood and Guts, which is gonna have to change because, as you probably heard, the Triangle of Madness is involved and they have been aligned a lot with Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne. Penelope Ford is not going to be able to compete in this match, so we'll announce more about what we are going to do with the match tomorrow. I will say that I am planning to add participants and make it an even bigger match, and even though we are going to miss Penelope Ford, there are so many people lined up, knowing that there is a spot available, people wanting to compete. The challenge absolutely has been accepted.

Despite Ford being out of the mix, the field has been set in stone for the first-ever Women's Blood and Guts match. The squad of Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, "Timeless" Toni Storm, and Kris Statlander will take on the Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla), Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Moné in what is expected to be a classic yet hellicious showdown.
