Having snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday with a victory over the previously undefeated Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks looked to keep their momentum rolling Monday night — and Karl-Anthony Towns helped them do just that.

Towns led the way with a dominant performance, posting 33 points on 12-for-24 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 17-point win over the Washington Wizards. The victory improved New York’s record to 4-3 on the season, with all four wins coming at Madison Square Garden, where they remain undefeated at 4-0.

A decisive third quarter propelled the Knicks to the blowout win, as they outscored Washington 41-24 coming out of halftime. Beyond Towns’ big night, it was a balanced team effort, with seven Knicks scoring in double figures, including all five starters.

Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby added 16 points apiece, while Landry Shamet contributed 11 and Mikal Bridges chipped in 10. Off the bench, former Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson poured in 15 points. Josh Hart also delivered a strong all-around performance, recording 12 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for his own double-double.

New York will have Tuesday off before continuing its seven-game homestand Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The matchup will be a reunion between familiar faces as Towns will face his former team where he spent nine seasons. Former Knicks Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo, will also return to Madison Square Garden once more as opponents.
