Starbucks devotees are already losing their beans over the coffee chain’s new holiday must-have — a bear-shaped cup so adorable, it’s got caffeine junkies clawing their way out of hibernation to “fight for” one.
On November 6, the coffee giant is rolling out its long-awaited festive menu and holiday merch — and one $29.95 glass Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup is stealing the spotlight amid new coffee ornaments and wintry tumblers.
The 20-ounce glass is shaped like a teddy bear rocking a cozy Starbucks-green beanie — which doubles as the lid — and comes with a matching striped straw for sipping in style.
The Seattle-based chain fueled the frenzy early, dropping an Instagram video on November 5, showing its 17.6 million followers a barista pouring coffee into the bear-y adorable cup with the caption, “I’ll have what he’s having” — a nod to “When Harry Met Sally…”
It’s barely November — and one festive, bear-shaped Starbucks cup is already causing a frenzy on social media. Christopher SadowskiFans went wild in the comments. “NEEEEEDDDDD,” one desperate fan pleaded. “Stop, this is so cute,” swooned another.
“Oh my god I LOVE THIS,” gushed a third — while one hopeful warned, “If these sell out before I can get one I’ll be brokenhearted.”
On TikTok, user @officialjosephbryant stressed in a viral video, “I will fight you for it.” He added, “They are limited. One of them are mine.”
And they all better act quickly, as you can currently snag the Bearista on eBay (again, before it was even officially released, that is) for anywhere from $109 to $275.
Over at the Japanese e-commerce site Mercari, more Bearista lovers are willing to pay up to $150 for the coveted glass cup.
And if a bear-shaped glass doesn’t warm your frothy little heart, Starbucks’ holiday lineup still has plenty to fetch — like the $24.95 Holiday Puppy Tumbler, featuring a scarf-clad pup, or the $29.95 Gingerbread Travel Mug, where cookie men are caught horsing around in icing.
The company is also brewing up cuteness with a Hello Kitty collab dropping November 6 — featuring everything from a plushie of the iconic Sanrio sweetheart to cozy ceramic mugs that’ll make any sip feel extra sweet.
Caffeine lovers are going wild for Starbucks’ latest “beary” adorable sip, with some intense fans heading to Ebay and Mercari to drop hundreds of dollars for one. APAs The Post previously reported, Starbucks fans were not feeling a-peel-ed earlier this fall when autumn favorites returned last month without one beloved sip: the Apple Crisp flavor.
When the coffee giant teased its autumn lineup on Instagram — led, of course, by the almighty Pumpkin Spice Latte — the comments quickly turned tart, with fans demanding the return of the fruity fan favorite.
The backlash brewed fast and hot enough that Starbucks finally caved, announcing that the Apple Crisp Shaken Espresso would make its long-awaited comeback on Oct. 14 — but only for a limited run, while supplies last.
When it comes to this year’s holiday menu, the chain also isn’t holding back on the festive flavors this winter.
Returning to menus are the classic Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte and Iced Gingerbread Chai — with the Chestnut Praline Latte and fan-favorite Eggnog Latte making a late-season cameo.
The bakery case is also getting a merry makeover with returning icons like the Snowman Cookie, Cranberry Bliss Bar and Sugar Plum Cheese Danish — plus two new sweet recruits: the Polar Bear Cake Pop and Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread.
And for the coffee purists? The whole bean holiday lineup is stacked with Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend, Christmas Blend (also in decaf), Christmas Blonde Roast and Holiday Blend — perfect for brewing up your own cup of cheer.
