Mom, 43, allegedly had child with her daughter’s 14-year-old date to junior high dance

A 43-year-old Illinois mother gave birth to a child she allegedly conceived with a 14-year-old boy — who her own daughter took as a date to their junior high dance, according to authorities and reports.

Robyn Polston, who had chaperoned the dance, was arrested Monday morning and charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault with a victim between the ages of 13 and 17 and two counts of possession of child pornography, according to court records obtained by The Post.

She was arrested after the Washington Police Department began an investigation into a complaint received after Polston gave birth in January 2025, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by People.

After obtaining records, including the baby’s birth certificate, cops found that the child’s name matched the middle and last name of her alleged victim, the document said.

Polston claimed to cops that the newborn’s father was a “man in his twenties named Brian,” who she cut contact with after giving birth, the affidavit stated.

After looking more into the alleged victim, investigators learned that he and Polston’s daughter attended a junior high dance together in May 2023, where Polston was a chaperone, the outlet reported.

The boy moved away, then returned for a visit 40 weeks before the child’s birth in April 2024. He then moved back to the area in August 2024 to live with the family of a “friend,” the document said.

Phone records also allegedly uncovered a trove of “sexually explicit images and videos” of Polston and the teen.

She and the 14-year-old used burner phones under fake names to protect their identities. Polston allegedly tried to coerce him to participate in a cover-up, 25 News now reported.

A DNA test then shockingly confirmed the alleged victim was the baby’s father, the affidavit said, according to the outlet.

Prosecutors argued the mom would not be able to be counted on to cut contact with the father of the child, stating Polston’s mother and sister were enablers of the twisted relationship, the publication reported.

She was ordered held without bail while her case is pending, the outlet said.

An attorney for Polston did not respond to a request for comment.

Her next court appearance is slated for Dec. 4, records show.
