There's officially a chance that we'll see Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry in an Adam Sandler movie down the road.
Henry was recently a guest on the "Dan Patrick Show" and Patrick made an offer to the Ravens superstar. He told Henry that he would get him into a Sandler movie if Henry can rush for 2,000 yards in 2025.
"If you get to 2,000 yards, I'll get you in a Sandler movie," Patrick promised.
"Alright, cool, say no more," Henry said. "Remember that now."
"I'll take care of my end of it," Patrick, who is friends with Sandler, said. "I mean, mine's easy. Yours is hard."
Patrick wasn't kidding, either. He actually put in a call to the movie star to reveal what he had offered to Henry, and Sandler is ready to take Patrick up on it.
"2,000 yards-plus this year gets you, not only in the movie, but we have a nice dinner together and talk about Dan Patrick's facial hair and how hard it is for him to grow it," Sandler said in a video.
"That was my dawg, man," Henry said after watching the Sandler video. "I appreciate that, man, that was cool as hell."
Henry has already topped 2,000 yards in a season when he was with the Tennessee Titans, and he nearly did it again in 2024. Henry was also on pace for 2,000 yards during the 2021 campaign before he suffered a foot injury.
However, no running back in NFL history has ever done it twice, so Henry will have to make history in order to land a movie role from Sandler.
As far as what his role could be, that remains to be seen. Henry would be perfect if Sandler decides to do "The Waterboy" sequel, which Sandler has said in the past he's open to doing.
As feared as Bobby Boucher is, he might meet his match if he runs into Henry.
