Absent AEW star drops huge CM Punk reference following Dynamite

CM Punk is one of the greatest of all time. He is currently signed to WWE, where he is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. He won this title by defeating Jay Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI in November 2025.

Punk has several friends in the industry. One of them is AEW wrestler Danhausen. The Very Nice Very Evil star joined the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2022. Eventhought its been a while since he signed with them, Tony Khan has not booked him well. He hasn't appeared on any of the company's shows in a long time, and it is unlikely that he has a future there.

The Voice of the Voiceless sent New Year's greetings to fans a few hours back. It was a picture of himself with his gold with the message "Happy New Year." Interestingly, Danhausen edited this picture with minimal effort and posted it on his own Twitter handle.

Danhausen and Punk are very close in real life. Even though the AEW star keeps trolling the champion on social media, they continue being good friends.

Dutch Mantell believes that AEW star Danhausen would fit perfectly in WWE

Danhausen's time in AEW is reportedly coming to an end. According to Fightful, his contract is set to expire in February of this year. Furthermore, it is believed that he is WWE-bound.

In a recent episode of his Story Time podcast, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantel said that the Very Nice Very Evil star would be a great fit in the Stamford-based company.

Danhausen in WWE will certainly be interesting. Only time will tell what the future holds for him.
