Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love delay jersey swap after Steelers-Packers game on Sunday Night Football

Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love probably got the ending they wanted.

The quarterbacks for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers had both made clear they wanted a jersey swap after Sunday Night Football.

But to end the weekend, they waited just a bit. Love and Rodgers exchanged a hug after the game's ending, but they didn't swap jerseys right away. There was a momentary conversation, and NBC's Mike Tirico speculated the swap would happen underneath the stadium.

The future Hall of Famer and his former pupil faced off in primetime. It could be a particularly amusing exchange for Love, who would get to receive Rodgers' throwback uniform that is a replica of what Pittsburgh wore in 1933.

Love also got the last laugh. The Packers were 35-25 victors on Sunday night.

Green Bay improve to 5-1-1.

Pittsburgh fell to 4-3.

These quarterbacks have a strong relationship because of how Love's NFL career started.

He was chosen as the No. 26 overall draft pick in 2020. At that point, Rodgers had just completed his age-31 season.

Rodgers stayed the Packers starter for three more years, including two MVP seasons.

That's when Rodgers departed for the New York Jets, and Love took over as starter.

Now, they're both still starting three years later.

Rodgers couldn't beat his former team.

Love is the one going home with a real smile on his face.
