The New York Jets picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, besting the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38.
While the victory should hold off some criticisms surrounding first-time head coach Aaron Glenn for the time being, it doesn't change the fact that the Jets now sit at 1-7 on the season, tied for the worst record in football.
With the trade deadline roughly a week away, New York will have to consider what players are a part of the long-term outlook of the Jets, and who could be expendable.
Aaron Glenn reveals Jets' trade deadline outlook
When asked by the media about the team's plans for the looming trade deadline, Glenn declined to dive into specifics about whether the Jets will be full-on selling.
"When someone calls, you listen, but actions speak louder than words," said Glenn, via ESPN's Rich Cimini.
"Many years ago, Bill Parcells told Glenn the same thing when there were trade rumors about Glenn. Translation: If the right deal comes along..." Cimini continued in the post on X.
Multiple high-profile Jets players have long been circulating in trade discussions.
According to SNY's Connor Hughes, running back Breece Hall, wide receiver Allen Lazard, defensive ends Will McDonald and Jermaine Johnson, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, linebacker Quincy Williams, and cornerback Michael Carter II have all been inquired about.
It remains to be seen if any of the aforementioned players will actually be traded.
If the Jets get an offer they can't refuse, they would likely be willing to part ways with anyone on the roster.
