At this point, the accolades almost feel routine.
Almost.
Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson added yet another major accomplishment to her legendary résumé on Friday after being named the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Month for June. It marked the second consecutive month she has received the award this season and added another chapter to what is quickly becoming one of the greatest careers in league history.
The Aces didn't waste any time celebrating the news, posting a message on social media that perfectly captured Wilson's continued dominance.
"Back-to-back Player of the Month awards for the M'VP," the team wrote alongside Wilson's remarkable June statistics.

Wilson's numbers during June were exactly what fans have come to expect from the three-time WNBA MVP. She averaged 26.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting an efficient 52.6% from the field. Even more importantly, she helped guide Las Vegas to a 9-2 record during the month as the Aces continued their pursuit of another championship.
Her impact wasn't limited to one side of the floor. Wilson continued leading the league in scoring while remaining one of the WNBA's premier defenders, once again proving why she's widely considered the best all-around player in basketball.
The award puts Wilson even further ahead in WNBA history
Friday's announcement wasn't simply another monthly honor. It was another record. The June award marked Wilson's 15th career Player of the Month selection, extending her own WNBA record.
She now sits five awards ahead of recently retired legend Tina Charles, who finished her career with 10 Player of the Month honors. That gap illustrates just how dominant Wilson has been throughout her career.
Every season seems to produce another record, another award or another reminder that the former No. 1 overall pick continues to separate herself from the rest of the league.
Another MVP campaign is taking shape
Wilson entered the 2026 season with enormous expectations after leading the Aces to their third championship in four seasons and capturing her second consecutive MVP award.
Somehow, she's living up to all of them.
Entering Friday, Wilson led the WNBA in scoring at 25.7 points per game while also ranking among the league leaders in rebounds, blocks and steals.
Few players have ever impacted games on both ends of the floor the way Wilson does. Whether she's protecting the rim, dominating the paint offensively or switching onto guards defensively, the Aces know exactly what they're getting every night.
Elite production.
Las Vegas remains firmly in title contention
Wilson's brilliance has translated directly into team success. The Aces enter the weekend with a 14-5 record, trailing only the Minnesota Lynx in the Western Conference standings.
After falling just short in the Commissioner's Cup championship game earlier this week, Las Vegas has quickly shifted its attention back to the regular season with championship aspirations still firmly intact. Wilson's consistency remains the biggest reason why.
On a roster filled with talent, she continues to be the player who sets the tone every night.

The accolades just keep coming
There may come a point where another Player of the Month award no longer feels surprising for Wilson. But it shouldn't become overlooked. Winning one monthly award is impressive. Winning back-to-back awards in the same season while extending an all-time WNBA record is something entirely different.
As the second half of the season begins, Wilson is once again positioning herself for another MVP trophy, another All-WNBA First Team selection and, perhaps most importantly, another deep playoff run with the Aces.
For the rest of the WNBA, that's becoming a familiar challenge.
