A.J. Brown trade rumor amounts to huge news for Ravens and Patriots

A.J. Browns' future with the Philadelphia Eagles has been a hot topic of discussion so far this offseason, and if he does end up getting traded, two AFC contenders seem to be the top landing spots.

Jeff McLane of Inquirer.com said on Thursday that the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens are the most likely trade destinations for the Bears, especially after the Buffalo Bills traded for D.J. Moore from the Chicago Bears.

"The Bills trading for WR D.J. Moore would theoretically take them out of the A.J. Brown market. They checked in with the Eagles about their wide receiver, from what I understand.Patriots and Ravens are the most likely potential partners, especially as I understand it, the Eagles inclined to only deal with AFC teams," McLane said.

Receiver is a need for New England and Baltimore, as the Patriots just released Stefon Diggs and don't have a No. 1 receiver for quarterback Drake Maye, while the Ravens lack pass-catching talent outside of Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews.

Both franchises have the draft capital to pull off a trade for Brown, but it remains to be seen whether Philadelphia is willing to move off from their high asking price, which is a first-round pick and more.

Despite having a down year in 2025, Brown is still one of the best receivers in football and has posted five straight 1,000-yard campaigns. He would take the Patriots and Ravens' offenses to the next level.

The likelihood of Brown getting traded is still low, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities, and New England and Baltimore could be his next NFL home.
