Jey Uso is set to face The Miz on the upcoming episode of SmackDown in the first round of John Cena's Last Time is Now Tournament.

The 16-man tournament kicked off this week on RAW, with Rusev and Sheamus advancing to the next stage, defeating Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura, respectively. Meanwhile, Jey Uso will aim to emerge victorious on the upcoming edition of the blue brand when he takes on The Miz. In a massive turn of events, he might be hindered by an 8-time champion.

Jimmy Uso has won the RAW Tag Team Titles on three occasions and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship five times. He was backstabbed by his twin, Jey Uso, on the October 20 episode of the red brand during the Battle Royal. The YEET Master eliminated his brother and won the bout to earn a shot at the vacant World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI, where he eventually lost.

Since it appears that The Usos have finally disbanded following the betrayal angle on RAW, Big Jim may be cooking up revenge against Jey Uso. In a jaw-dropping twist, Jimmy could potentially trigger a heel turn on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, costing Jey his opportunity to face John Cena in his retirement match.

If this happens, Jimmy Uso could also join forces with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul for the upcoming Men's WarGames Match, cementing his heel turn. Given that the previous feud between the twins generated considerable excitement among fans, the creative team might consider revisiting a similar storyline.

However, this angle is speculative, and nothing in this regard has been confirmed so far. Fans will have to wait and see how things play out on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

Jey Uso may have a difficult road in front of him in his future in WWE, says Hall of Famer

Considering Jey Uso's multiple unsuccessful attempts to regain the World Heavyweight Championship, a WWE Hall of Famer has shared his thoughts on what the future may hold for him in the company.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T claimed that The YEET Master may have a difficult road in front of him in his future in the Stamford-based promotion. He suggested that Jey might not be able to get back to the World Title picture unless he puts in a lot of hard work.

"Jey Uso, I think he's solidified in that position, but he's gonna have to work hia a** off to get back to the World Championship. That's what I'm saying about as far as being in shape: he can't rest on his laurels. He can't think that one World Heavyweight Championship is just gonna be guaranteed for him to go back to that spot ever again, that's not the way it works," said Booker T.

That said, it will be interesting to see what plans the creative team has in store for the superstar going forward.
