76ers could dupe clueless Bulls in trade sending away 7-time All-Star

It's time for the Philadelphia 76ers to embark on a new adventure.

The Process Era was entertaining at times, but it never wielded any serious winning. Joel Embiid is no longer reliable. Philly should cut ties with Embiid before he ventures into Ben Simmons-type vibes, availability-wise.

It's time to build something fresh and exciting around Tyrese Maxey.

Sixers GM Daryl Morey should be thinking about trading Embiid this summer for expiring contracts.

It would be difficult to find a suitor for Embiid -- who has appeared in just 58 games over the past two NBA seasons -- but one franchise stands out.

The Chicago Bulls have one of the most confusing front offices in the league. The Bulls don't know what they want. They're building for the future, but they refuse to tank (hey, that's actually honorable!); they wanted to keep DeMar DeRozan, and then they didn't; they flip-flopped a million times on Zach LaVine.

Chicago's brass might be disoriented enough to fall for an Embiid trade: 'Embiid will guarantee that we make the Play-In again!'

The Bulls have six expiring contracts to choose from for Philly, including Nikola Vučević, whom Chicago has been trying to move for months.

Morey could call up the Bulls and get the convo started. Here's how it might go:

Morey: "I'll give you our NBA MVP for expirings and one other thing."

Bulls: "Hi Daryl! Interesting. What other thing?"

Morey: "Either Buzelis or the No. 3 pick."

Bulls: "Oh..."

Morey: "This is how you'll get off Vučević's deal. I'm offering you one of the most dominant players in the league! All I'm asking for in return is an asset for our future. I'll take Buzelis or the No. 3. You don't have to give me Coby White as one of the expirings, by the way. We have too many ball handlers. Just give me Vooch, Huerter, and Dalen Terry."

Bulls: "We like Terry."

Morey: "Yeah..."

Bulls: "Jevon Carter's gonna pick up his option. Vooch, Huerter, and Carter for Embiid."

Morey: "Plus Buzelis."

Bulls: "We'll get back to you."

Morey: "Ok, call me tomorrow. I'm talking to a few other teams about Joel and this is going to move fast."

Bulls: "Oh..."

Morey: "Sound good?"

Bulls: "We'll give you Buzelis."

If Morey ended up trading Embiid to the Bulls for Matas Buzelis and expiring contracts, legions of fans on NBA X would flock to the platform saying Morey 'got fleeced,' but whatever -- getting out of the Embiid business would be worth it.

Ending up with the No. 3 pick would be better for the Sixers in this deal, but don't sleep on Buzelis as a prospect.

Philly should be looking to put Embiid in a new uniform ASAP, and he'd look great in Bulls red.
