76ers could add five-time All-Star to pair with Joel Embiid in frontcourt

The Philadelphia 76ers have been relatively quiet this offseason, but they might be able to make a splash in the near future.

Over the past several weeks, the 76ers haven’t done much. For GM Daryl Morey, it appears that the team simply awaiting the returns of Joel Embiid and Paul George might be all the offseason moves they need.

Of course, the team will also be getting rookie standout Jared McCain back on the floor, and rookie VJ Edgecombe is set to make his debut next season. Add in Tyrese Maxey, and the 76ers’ top players can compete with some of the best in the league.

However, there is still a bit left to be desired with the 76ers’ bench, which is where Kevin Love could come in. The former All-Star and NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers is looking to find his way out of Utah, according to a recent report from Marc Stein.

Assuming Love gets a buyout with the Jazz this offseason, he will likely be looking to head to a contending team. While there are some teams out there with a better chance of winning a championship, the 76ers might be able to offer him the largest role.

With Embiid likely to miss some time next season and Guerschon Yabusele departing in free agency, there is a hole in the frontcourt in Philadelphia. He could also team up with Andre Drummond again, who he briefly played with in Cleveland.

Love is obviously on the final stretch of his NBA career and might have much left in the tank, but he could still add some value for a 76ers team looking to get back in title contention in 2026.
