A six-time DP World Tour winner has voiced his frustration after being left on the reserve list of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. The golfer recently shared a post on his social media, sharing his feelings on this incident.

The upcoming Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player will be underway at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa from December 4 to 7. With Johannes Veerman defending his title, the $6-million DP World Tour event will feature pros like Marco Penge, Thriston Lawrence, Kristoffer Reitan, and Viktor Hovland.

Today, Joost Luiten shared a post on his Instagram, outlining his position in the first reserve spot in the 66-man field. The Dutchman, who finished 33rd on the Race To Dubai Standings, shared his frustration in the caption:

"Sitting as first reserve for the Nedbank Golf Challenge.. honestly, it's hard to understand. Finishing 33rd on the Order of Merit, earning a place in the biggest tournament of 2025 DP World Tour Championship, yet not getting into a smaller event with bigger field..."

Take a look at the Instagram post shared by Luiten:

Luiten last played in the Nedbank Golf Challenge back in 2023 where he tied for the 39th spot alongside Matthew Jordan, Grant Forrest, and Jason Scrivener. After four rounds of play, the Dutch pro carded a 2-over-par total with a 2-under-par score in the final round.

Despite having five missed cuts this season, Luiten has bagged multiple top 10s including a solo third finish at the Hero Indian Open and a T5 at the BMW International Open. The 39-year-old's last outing at the DP World Tour Championship ended with a solo 48th finish.
