WWE has received a lot of criticism for their booking lately. 2025 was not the best year for the company product wise and quality wise. A former 6-time Intercontinental Champion has now revealed the real reason behind the promotion's underwhelming booking lately. The star in question is none other than AEW's Jeff Jarrett.
While speaking on his YouTube Channel My World With Jeff Jarrett, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that the company only cares about their share prices right now which is why the fans haven't been getting what they want.
"What I think is, this will not be really measured until 36 months from now, maybe a little shorter or longer. The leader in the market, the company that has been around forever — WWE, uh, what’s their market share, Conrad? Over 80? Well, it’s way up, right? I think when people do their real analytics, whatever that market share is, out of all professional wrestling fans, whatever it is." He said.He added:
"[WWE has] fundamentally shifted their decision-making process, and they answer to Wall Street as opposed to wrestling fans. I think that is the biggest bad of 2025, because it’s very clear that’s the decision. Now, ticket prices, that’s going to ebb and flow, and the market is only going to bear what it’s going to bear. But I think the residual of Ari [Emanuel] and team responding to the Wall Street as opposed to, really listening to their audience, it’s going to be interesting,” [H:T/ ITRWrestling]It will be interesting to see if the Stamford-based promotion will change their booking style heading into 2026.
