Michigan captain Marlin Klein wants interim head coach Biff Poggi to become the Wolverines' full-time head coach. The Wolverines hired Poggi as interim HC after firing Sherrone Moore.
Klein said,
"Who I want to see is Coach Poggi. The reason for that is the person he is. He truly just cares about the people within the building, not just the coaches, not just the players, but really everybody."•

College football fans caught wind of Klein's words and commented on X (formerly Twitter).
A fan said, "So do the rest of us outside of Ann Arbor. That 6-16 career record is nice and juicy." Another added, "He could be Michigan’s Coach O." One wrote, "So do 17 Big Ten teams."Some fans agreed with the team captain.
One said, "Lol that would be great." Another wrote, "I second that idea." One chipped in, saying, "Let’s give Biff a shot. Underwood played better with him as HC than Moore."Klein believes that hiring Biff Poggi will provide some stability for the Wolverines. Poggi has enjoyed three stints in Michigan. He first joined in 2016 as an analyst, then in 2021 as an associate head coach, and finally in 2025 as interim head coach.
He's now tasked with steadying the ship after Sherrone Moore was fired. According to ESPN, Moore was fired because of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. The Wolverines are now searching for a full-time HC.
