WWE is now heading into 2026, with 2025 quickly coming to a close. While this year saw the formation of some new tag teams in the Stamford-based promotion, the wrestling community is still hoping to see certain tandems unite or reunite in 2026.

In this listicle, we will look at five WWE tag teams that we hope to see in 2026.

#5. Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley

Tatum Paxley is one of the top female superstars on WWE's developmental brand. She held the NXT Women's Championship for a while before dropping it back to Jacy Jayne at Gold Rush on November 18. During the match, Paxley was betrayed by her stablemate, Izzie Dame, which led to her exit from The Culling and cemented her face turn.

Given that the 29-year-old star has undoubtedly made a name for herself in NXT, many are suggesting that the company should promote her to the main roster to team up with Lyra Valkyria. The duo made a good pair during Valkyria's time on the WWE's development brand, and fans seem eager to see them work together again as a tandem on the main roster.

#4. Logan Paul and Austin Theory

Logan Paul and Austin Theory are both members of The Vision. Theory was the last to join the stable after he revealed himself as the mystery attacker from this year's Survivor Series: WarGames.

Since Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are working well together in the heel faction, many fans now expect The Maverick to team up with Austin Theory. With Breakker apparently focusing on his singles career, Paul and Theory might set their sights on the World Tag Team Title.

#3. Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan

It seems like Liv Morgan is back in the tag team division. She previously revealed her interest in winning the Women's World Championship by confronting Stephanie Vaquer on RAW after Survivor Series: WarGames before Raquel Rodriguez stepped in.

Given her recent alliance with Roxanne Perez in The Judgment Day, the wrestling community is expecting the duo to work together as a tag team in 2026. Interestingly, this storyline could be developed by booking Perez and Morgan to bring the Women's Tag Team Championship back to the heel faction.

#2. Penta and Rey Fenix

Penta and Rey Fenix are real-life brothers who were once part of a highly successful professional wrestling tag team known as the Lucha Brothers. Together, they have won numerous tag team championships across various promotions, including AEW, TNA Wrestling, Major League Wrestling (MLW), and Ring of Honor (ROH).

However, the duo has focused on singles competition after signing with WWE and has yet to reunite on the Stamford-based promotion's TV. Therefore, fans are expecting the creative team to arrange their reunion next year and bring back the Lucha Brothers.

#1. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and former Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is currently at odds with CM Punk in WWE. However, this rivalry doesn’t rule out the possibility of them forming a strong team in the near future. The duo has worked together a few times in matches since Punk returned to the Stamford-based promotion, and their union was exciting to fans.

Since the World Heavyweight Champion acknowledged the OTC after this year's Men's WarGames Match, it indicates that they still have some respect for each other despite the bad blood. Hence, fans are looking forward to the possibility of their alliance in 2026.
