There is an age-long debate about which Minecraft edition is better: Java or Bedrock. While Java fans joke about Bedrock being plagued by bugs and not having enough mods, there are several aspects in which Bedrock can be considered better than the original game edition.

1) Skin customization

Bedrock Edition allows players to heavily customize their characters. They can add various kinds of headgear, face items, inner wear, outer wear, pants, shoes, hand items, and much more. Most paid and free content on Minecraft Marketplace also features new, unique skin customizations that players can try out.

On the other hand, Java Edition players can only change their base skins and add a few 3D pixel layers to them. Hence, Bedrock Edition's skin customization is a lot more detailed and has more options.

2) Crossplay capabilities

When Bedrock Edition was released in 2017, its main goal was to make the game more accessible, particularly to those with other kinds of devices. Hence, the game is supported on so many devices like Windows, Xbox, Switch, PS, Android, Chrome OS, iOS, iPadOS, and Amazon Fire.

This is another major plus point over Java Edition, since it only supports Windows, Linux, and macOS. If a person does not have a decent PC, they can still enjoy the game using their phone or other devices.

Though it is safe to say that Bedrock Editions has loads of bugs and glitches, it is more optimized than Java Edition. This additional support is not needed in Bedrock since it feels a lot smoother out of the box.
