The upcoming episode of SmackDown will be the go-home edition for the Survivor Series Premium Live Event. The feuds and storylines will see one final build before the annual spectacle in San Diego. However, WWE already taped the November 28 edition of SmackDown this week in the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, right after last night's show went off air
The company taped it in advance due to Thanksgiving so that the talents and crew could take time off for the holiday. Several major things happened on the show. From two top superstars advancing into the semi-finals of the "Last Time is Now" tournament to Solo Sikoa getting ambushed by a returning star, fans witnessed absolute chaos on SmackDown.
Here are five big spoilers for the November 28 edition of WWE SmackDown:
#5. The Miz replaces Sheamus in the quarter finals
WWE showcased a backstage segment where Nick Aldis met with The Miz in his office to discuss the vacant spot left by Sheamus in "The Last Time Is Now" tournament. The A-Lister pitched himself as the ideal replacement, citing his history with Cena. But just as Aldis seemed open to that idea, R-Truth burst onto the scene hilariously.
The General Manager was caught in a conversation with R-Truth when The Miz pulled off a cunning trick behind their back to finalize his spot in the marquee contest. Nick Aldis had no option but to announce The A-Lister as Sheamus' replacement in the quarterfinal match against LA Knight on that very episode of SmackDown.
#4. Charlotte Flair defeats Asuka to gain WarGames advantage
Charlotte Flair battled Asuka on the go-home edition of SmackDown in a Women's WarGames Advantage Match. This bout determined which team would gain the crucial first-entry advantage at the barbaric double-caged match at Survivor Series. The match kicked off with intense technical exchanges, showcasing Asuka's vicious strikes and mist teases early on.
The turning point came when The Empress of Tomorrow went for her green mist, but Flair ducked, causing the former to inadvertently blindside the referee. Seizing the chaos, The Queen defeated Asuka to win this high-stakes match on the blue brand. This gives the babyface team the edge, allowing one member to enter the WarGames Match first.
#3. The Wyatt Sicks unleashes havoc on Solo Sikoa on SmackDown
The MFT competed against Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix and Motor City Machine Guns in a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match. They dominantly defeated the babyface team, with Solo Sikoa being the sole survivor. As he celebrated the MFT's dominance, the arena lights flickered to The Wyatt Sicks' theme song, signaling their arrival.
The sinister faction stormed into the ring and preyed upon Sikoa. The climax arrived when the Titantron glitched to reveal Uncle Howdy, who then appeared on the apron amid fog. As the MFT leader turned, Howdy vaulted in and unleashed a vicious Sister Abigail. The Wyatt Sicks stood tall in the ring, making Uncle Howdy's return to WWE.
#2. Jade Cargill ruins Chelsea Green's celebration segment
Chelsea Green had a celebration segment on the go-home edition of SmackDown. She took the center stage, declaring herself the greatest female champion in all of North America. The Hot Mess ranted about her undeniable dominance and mocked the crowd's boos. Just then, Jade Cargill's theme song hit the arena and she stormed into the ring, interrupting Green's celebrations.
Both superstars were involved in a heated exchange of words and things escalated so much so that they got involved in a physical altercation. Chelsea Green's festivities were short-lived as The Storm hit her with her finisher, leaving her crashing down on the mat. Following that, Cargill walked away backstage, holding her WWE Women's Championship.
#1. Jey Uso and LA Knight advance to the semi-finals of the tournament
Jey Uso faced Rusev on the November 28 edition of SmackDown in the quarter finals of The Last Time is Now tournament. Both superstars delivered a great performance. However, the match ended with The YEET master hitting The Bulgarian Brute with a spear, followed by a Splash off the top rope, to advance in the contest.
Meanwhile, LA Knight battled The Miz in the quarter finals of the tournament after the latter replaced Sheamus. Although The A-Lister gave his best to punch a ticket to the semi-finals, he fell short. After a hard-hitting contest, Knight defeated him to grab a huge victory on SmackDown. The Megastar secured his spot in the semi-finals of this marquee tournament.
