The San Francisco 49ers are about to begin training camp, and when that begins, they will be able to figure out which positions need to be addressed before the season begins.
But, before that even gets underway, there is one position that already needs to be addressed. That position is the edge rusher room. Nick Bosa needs some help.
The Athletic's Vic Tafur believes that the 49ers "seem like" they will address this problem and add another edge rusher to the team either in free agency or through a trade.
49ers 'seem like' they'll get Nick Bosa help at edge rusher
"It seems like the 49ers will still add a veteran edge player to help Bosa (after Bryce Huff suddenly retired)," Tafur writes.
While the 49ers roster, as it is right now, is one of the better ones in the entire NFL, the edge rusher spot is a clear weakness that should be addressed.
Bosa, Mykel Williams, Keion White, Sam Okuayinonu, Romello Height, Cameron Sample, Andrew Farmer II, Williams Bradley-King, and Mikail Kamara make up the 49ers edge rushers right now.

While Bosa and Williams are a good duo, and Height is a rookie with some upside, the 49ers really would stand to benefit from just one more veteran with this group.
Looking at free agency, Haason Reddick, Joey Bosa, Leonard Floyd, Denico Autry, Yetur-Gross Matos, and Von Miller could all be options for the 49ers.
Regardless of who the 49ers wind up adding this offseason, Tafur believes the 49ers will find a way to upgrade their depth chart to help out Bosa.
Of course, they could pass on that chance and believe in their in-house players to be good enough to help Bosa. But, for the veteran edge rusher's sake, John Lynch should really look to add a decent veteran edge rusher to fix this clear issue on the roster.
