The San Francisco 49ers have announced two new additions to their team ahead of the 2026 season.

The 49ers have signed running back Sincere McCormick and safety Patrick McMorris to one-year deals. These two signings come after the 2026 NFL Draft.

McCormick and McMorris are both Southern California natives. McCormick hails from Long Beach and was previously with the 49ers organization.

He signed with the team's practice squad in late August 2025. However, McCormick was released from the team in mid-November of the same season.

McCormick originally entered the NFL as an undrafted player. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and has been with five organizations in his NFL tenure. McCormick has a total of five games under his belt with two starts. All of them came in 2024 as a member of the Raiders.

McCormick tallied 39 rush attempts for 183 yards, zero touchdowns, averaged 36.6 yards per contest and 4.7 yards per attempt.

As for McMorris, he was originally a 2024 sixth-round pick out of California. The Miami Dolphins selected him with the 198th overall pick.

However, after only one season in South Florida, McMorris was waived as part of the final roster cuts in late August 2025.

After that, McMorris has been with two organizations: the New York Giants in two stints and the Arizona Cardinals. McMorris has six total games under his belt in his NFL career, recording only one tackle. His lone stat in the league came as a member of the Dolphins.

The 49ers will aim for another standout season in 2026, focused on immediate success and confident they have the pieces in place to make a deep playoff run.
