The San Francisco 49ers are currently undergoing training camp, and there are already some major issues that fans might start to worry about.
Obviously, the Ricky Pearsall news was devastating, but it hasn't stopped there. So many players on this 49ers roster are dealing with injury issues during training camp.
The latest update from Nick Wagoner of ESPN is a doozy. He reports that 20 players were not practicing for the 49ers at the end of the seventh day of practices at training camp, which is a little more than 20% of the 49ers' entire roster out due to injury.
49ers missing 20 players at training camp practice due to injury
"By the end of Wednesday's practice, the Niners had 20 players (including the 3 on PUP) not participating because of injury," Wagoner reports.
This is an absolutely brutal update for the 49ers at training camp, as there are some significant injury issues for this team as the regular season approaches.
Of the 20 players, George Kittle, Isaac Guerendo, and Mykel Williams are the three on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, and there are 17 others also banged up.
Wagoner reports that "DE Nick Bosa (soreness), LB Dre Greenlaw (soreness), DT Osa Odighizuwa (soreness), OL Carver Willis (concussion), WR Jacob Cowing (hip flexor strain), FB Kyle Jusszczyk (broken finger), OL Bret Toth (undisclosed)" were new additions to the injury report.

Meanwhile, during practice, offensive lineman Nick Zakelji and defensive end Sam Okuayinonu were both banged up.
That group joins Mike Evans (quad), Christian Kirk (calf), Malik Mustapha (hamstring), Kaelon Black (adductor), De'Zhuan Stribling (hamstring), Vederian Lowe (ankle), Jordan James (rib), and Keion White (adductor) among the 49ers' injuries.
It's a ridiculous 20-player long injury report for the 49ers during training camp, which is a terrible spot to be in leading up to the regular season.
It's not just depth players who are banged up, either; there are a lot of key players who are out right now due to injury. While the majority of these injuries shouldn't be issues heading into the season, it's hard not to be worried at this point.
