40-year-old star assures that he will reunite with AEW stablemates in 2026

AEW has emerged as WWE's fiercest competitor in decades. It was founded by Tony Khan and a few wrestlers in 2019. Several names have appeared and performed in the Jacksonville-based company since its inception. Many of them are Mexican and Latin American.

Jose the Assistant was under All Elite Wrestling's banner from 2021 to 2024. Even though he is an experienced professional wrestler, he predominantly worked as a manager. The 40-year-old managed La Faccion Ingobernable, whose members back then consisted of Andrade El Idolo, Dralistico, Preston Vance, and Rush.

La Faccion Ingobernable's current lineup consists of Rush (leader), Dralistico, Sammy Guevara, The Beast Mortos, and Vangellys. Interestingly, Jose the Assistant took to Twitter a few hours ago to make an important announcement.

The former AEW star assured fans that he will soon be seen with former members of LFI.

"January 1st, 2026, im saying it now. Jose The Assistant will be seen again along side former LFI members," he wrote.

Former LFI members consist of Konnan, Killer Kross, Andrade, Dragon Lee, and more. Only time will tell which one of them Jose will be seen with this year.

WWE reportedly discussed signing former AEW star Jose the Assistant when Andrade was in the Stamford-based company

Andrade's latest WWE run came to an end last year. Interestingly, Bryan Alvarez revealed on WOL that World Wrestling Entertainment management discussed bringing Jose the Assistant when the former NXT Champion was signed to the Stamford-based company.

"I do know that there had been discussions about bringing in Jose The Assistant from AEW. They were gonna pair them up - I don't know if it was 100% - but they talked about the possibility of him coming in as a duo, so he could do some of the promos for Andrade," said Alvarez.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Jose the Assistant and Andrade.
