2025 has seen several major WWE stars sidelined from TV. Some have taken time off for a break, while some have suffered injuries that have kept them out of the ring. With the roster stacked but missing key names, millions around the world eagerly await the return of some of WWE’s biggest names.

As Triple H continues reshaping the main-event picture, the comeback of some top names could completely change the landscape of the company. With a number of names missing from TV lately, and many having a lot of time left in rehab, let’s check out a few names who could and should return to TV before the year ends.

#4. Gunther

Gunther has been off WWE TV since SummerSlam 2025, where he lost the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk in a brutal match that reportedly aggravated a lingering shoulder injury. The Ring General has been in rehab ever since, with reports suggesting he took additional time off to recharge after some intense work over the past few months.

However, Gunther must make his return in the next few weeks. With John Cena’s retirement tour coming to an end and fans waiting to see the legend face Gunther, the latter should return to TV very soon.

#3. Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has not been absent from WWE TV for long, but the women’s division undoubtedly needs her lately. Ripley has been off TV since Crown Jewel, where she reportedly suffered a minor injury. While fans believed that the star might have to stay out of action for the next few weeks, with her return predicted in January, WWE might need Ripley to return in the next couple of weeks.

With WarGames on the horizon and the Eradicator reportedly set to be a major part of it, Ripley’s return is bound to take place very soon.

#2. Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu made an explosive debut in mid-2025 as part of The Bloodline, but has been absent since SmackDown a few weeks ago, where a brutal backstage attack wrote him off TV. The Samoan Werewolf has reportedly been dealing with a minor injury, which forced the company to take him off TV.

However, with the decreasing SmackDown ratings and the need for the main event scene to revamp, the company might need Fatu to return very soon. Once he returns, the star could be added to the Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre story, making things much more interesting.

#1. Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has been out of in-ring action since WrestleMania 41, where she suffered a massive finger injury. The EST of WWE returned to the company around Evolution, just to serve as a special guest referee. Fans have been waiting for the star to make her comeback and get the SmackDown women’s division back on track, which could potentially improve the ratings once again.

Belair’s return is seemingly set to take place very soon, and time will tell what the company has in store for the star once she makes her comeback.
