A WWE veteran has announced on X that he is now a free agent and issued a lengthy statement on his accomplishments over the last few years. A few hours back, EC3 revealed that he had left NWA after a 4-year stint with the company.

The 42-year-old star joined NWA in 2022, two years after his second run with WWE came to a premature end after the promotion made some budget-related cuts. EC3 has had a memorable run in NWA, where he even won the World Title, holding it for a staggering 370 days. His most recent outing with the promotion was in October 2025, where he participated in a multi-man tag team match.

However, as all good things come to an end, EC3's NWA career has now come to an end. He made the emotional announcement on his X account, where he also shared a statement on his time with the company. Check it out below:

Could EC3 be back in WWE?

While EC3 has tasted plenty of success in the wrestling business, both of his stints with the global juggernaut left plenty to be desired. His first run was from 2009 to 2013, where he worked down in NXT before being shown the door eventually.

His second stint, however, promised a lot more, as he came to NXT after spending several successful years in TNA. Despite all the hype surrounding it, EC3 failed to strike a chord with fans once he was called up to the main roster. His feud with the former Dean Ambrose, particularly, left a sour taste in everyone's mouths. Barring 4 inconsequential runs with the 24/7 Title, the 42-year-old didn't do much of note.

It remains to be seen if WWE comes knocking on his door again now. The company's roster is already loaded with both veteran and up-and-coming stars, and only time will tell if EC3 makes it back to the big leagues.
