4 Things that must happen within WWE after Drew McIntyre wins the Undisputed WWE Championship

Drew McIntyre has another opportunity to win the Undisputed WWE Championship as he challenges Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event XLI. The Scottish Warrior and The American Nightmare previously squared off at Wrestlepalooza, where McIntyre fell short.

The Scotsman has long deserved a proper run with the world title. McIntyre needs to beat Rhodes this weekend, as another loss would hurt his credibility. There are several potential scenarios that could unfold if The Scottish Warrior lifts the title this Saturday.

To make Drew McIntyre's potential title reign as effective as possible, these four things must happen within WWE following Saturday Night's Main Event XLI:

Did The Rock's "Final Boss" run hurt WWE? Watch Here!

#4. Jacob Fatu's first world title match on TV

Jacob Fatu was initially slated to face Drew McIntyre in a number one contender's match two weeks ago on SmackDown. However, The Samoan Werewolf was mysteriously attacked backstage before the bout could begin. Fatu has reportedly been sidelined due to a legitimate injury.

If McIntyre wins the Undisputed WWE Championship this Saturday, Fatu could step up to challenge The Scottish Warrior upon his return. The Samoan Werewolf has yet to receive a televised world title opportunity since arriving in the Stamford-based promotion, something that needs to happen after his comeback.

#3. Randy Orton's 15th World Title in WWE

Randy Orton has been on a quest to win his 15th World Title in WWE. However, he has failed to achieve this milestone despite coming close on several occasions this year. Despite signs of Orton's heel turn, there haven't been any major developments in that direction.

If the creative team wants The Viper to remain a babyface, McIntyre could be the perfect heel champion for Orton to dethrone. The two have been at odds for months now, and a massive title match, with The Apex Predator potentially winning his 15th world championship, would be a solid way to conclude their rivalry.

#2. Cody Rhodes' heel turn

Cody Rhodes has been a babyface since returning to WWE in 2022. However, The American Nightmare has previously stated that he was at the tail-end of his run as a good guy. If Rhodes loses the Undisputed WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre this weekend, it could trigger a character change in The QB1.

Rhodes has shown more aggression than usual lately, which could potentially be a hint of a heel turn in the near future. The creative team could pull off a shocking double turn during the title bout this weekend, with Rhodes embracing the dark side and the Scotsman turning babyface.

#1. Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk had a highly acclaimed rivalry last year that resulted in a trilogy of matches between the two. Punk eventually won the feud by defeating The Scottish Warrior in a Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood.

If McIntyre becomes the new Undisputed WWE Champion, he could reignite the rivalry with The Second City Saint. While Punk has a title shot of his own this weekend, if he fails to beat Jey Uso, The Best in the World should move to the blue brand and challenge his bitter rival.
