4 Surprise returns that could shock fans on the last AEW Dynamite of 2025

AEW entered 2025 after a relatively uneventful 2024. However, things turned out better for the promotion earlier this year. Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship reign got interesting with time, and fans were excited to see Hangman Page take his gold away at All In: Texas. AEW produced many great moments and returns throughout the year.

Things are at an all-time high for the company as MJF became the AEW World Champion at Worlds End. Also, the One True King made a heroic comeback in the Continental Classic tournament and won the Continental Championship at the pay-per-view. Fans are now excited to see what goes down on this year's last edition of Dynamite. A huge card has been announced for New Year's Smash Dynamite.

Many stars haven't been seen in All Elite Wrestling for a long time. Tony Khan could bring them back to close the year with a bang. Let's take a look at some of the names that could return to the Jacksonville-based promotion on the upcoming edition of Dynamite.

#4. Adam Copeland and #3. Christian Cage

Adam Copeland has been out of AEW since All Out in September. At the show, FTR attacked his wife, Beth Phoenix. Later backstage, he told his teammate Christian Cage that he would be out of action for a while to care for his family. The Patriarch hasn't been seen on TV since the same pay-per-view. The Rated-R Superstar is absent from the company due to filming commitments.

FTR are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. They recently ended their feud with Bang Bang Gang. Adam Copeland has finished his project. They could return to the promotion and challenge Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler for the titles on 2025's last Dynamite.

#2. Kamille

The Brickhouse hasn't been seen in AEW for over a year. She was busy with several TV projects for some time. She could have been part of the program in the meantime, but wasn't brought back even though she was healthy. In her latest appearances, she quit Mercedes Mone's alliance and was written off the show through a backstage attack.

The CEO might need an ally as she has lost multiple championships in the past month. On New Year's Smash Dynamite, she will defend her TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale. The latter pinned her twice in the last few days, and there is a huge chance that she might pin the TBS Champion again. However, Mercedes Mone could bring back Kamille and help her retain the title.

#1. Andrade returns to AEW

Andrade returned to All Elite Wrestling after his WWE exit in October 2025. However, just after one appearance, the global sports entertainment juggernaut sent a cease-and-desist notice to El Idolo. He was banned from wrestling for 1 year after breaking the non-compete clause.

However, after almost three months, Andrade managed to fight WWE's claim and won it. He is currently a free agent and has already announced his NJPW return. Fans are now waiting for his return to All Elite Wrestling. Tony Khan could surprise his fans by bringing back El Idolo on the upcoming Dynamite.

It will be interesting to see which of these stars will return to the Jacksonville-based promotion on Wednesday.
