Austin Theory returned on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW as the mystery attacker who has been assisting The Vision lately. The 28-year-old helped Logan Paul defeat Rey Mysterio in the main event of the show before removing his mask in the crowd to unveil his identity.
Revealing the mystery attacker in this manner seemed rather random, and it could be by design. What if Theory is secretly working for Seth Rollins, who has sent the former United States Champion to destroy The Vision from the inside?
In this listicle, we will look at four reasons why that is possible:
Why Orton didn't show up for Cena's match - Check details!
#4. It could be a part of The Visionary's revenge
On the post-Crown Jewel episode of RAW, The Vision shocked the world and kicked its leader, Seth Rollins, out of the group. The Architect has been on a hiatus since then to recover from a shoulder injury.
On the following RAW, Becky Lynch warned Paul Heyman that once her husband returns, he would be coming after all of The Oracle's allies. While Rollins is still sidelined, he may have started executing his revenge on the heel faction through Austin Theory.
The subtle hint of the alliance between Rollins and Theory could be the latter using The Architect's moves to help The Vision.
#3. Austin Theory and Seth Rollins have a history
Austin Theory and Seth Rollins are no strangers to each other. The 28-year-old was a disciple of Rollins in 2020 when the latter was playing The Messiah character. After a brief association, the two even had a rivalry for the United States Championship a couple of years later.
When The Architect formed The Vision, he chose people whom he had previously fought. Similarly, Rollins may have aligned with Theory amid his hiatus to plot his revenge on the heel faction for their betrayal.
#2. The Vision's actual mystery man could be someone else
When the mystery man took out Rey Mysterio and LA Knight last week, fans noticed that he looked and moved differently from the individual who attacked CM Punk during the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series.
There could be more than one mystery attacker, and while Theory may have revealed himself, the man working for The Vision could be someone else entirely. Montez Ford's name was speculated to be the individual under the hooded getup last week, which could be revealed on a later date.
Even though the heel group didn't plan for Austin Theory, they may appreciate the help and invite him to the faction.
#1. Paul Heyman has denied any involvement
Ever since the mystery man first appeared at Survivor Series: WarGames, Paul Heyman has denied any involvement with the individual. Considering his history, it's hard to believe anything The Oracle says, but there is a chance that he may be telling the truth in this matter.
No member of The Vision appeared to have any idea who the mystery man was. Before Austin Theory revealed himself on RAW, Heyman even said to Adam Pearce that he didn't know who the masked attacker was, but was glad to receive help.
This may be because Theory could secretly be working for Seth Rollins, and this could be an elaborate plan by The Visionary to get inside information on the faction before his eventual return.
