The Denver Broncos have what many feel is one of the league's most complete teams heading into the 2026 season. After coming up just short of reaching the Super Bowl last year, the team is all-in to make another run at it.
But this year will bring many new obstacles. The team will play a tough first-place schedule and the teams inside the AFC West didn't get any weaker. It will be highly difficult even to win the division again, let alone win the Super Bowl.
Head coach Sean Payton knows he is going to need a major effort from everyone involved, but he could add a proven name or two who could bring great experience and a hunger to win a championship to the roster.
These four players are still looking for their next NFL gig, and the Broncos should think about making the move to sign them.
4 high-profile street free agents for Broncos to consider adding
Bobby Wagner, LB
If there is a spot where the Broncos may still need some more help, it's at the inside linebacker position.
Jonah Elliss, who is shifting from the outside, and seventh-round pick Red Murdock are the wild cards. If the team feels that those two players are enough with Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad, there may not be a need for another player. But if there are any doubts, Bobby Wagner is one of the best of his era.
Taysom Hill, TE
Taysom Hill will be connected to his former coach, Payton, until he officially retires. The Broncos added two tight ends in the draft (Justin Joly, Dallen Bentley), so they wouldn't need Hill to come in and play that position. But he could be an intriguing addition for the gadget plays the team could draw up, as he can line up at multiple positions, which would add another dimension to the offensive attack.
Cameron Jordan, Defensive Lineman
Another former New Orleans Saints player, Cam Jordan could be added insurance for a team that chose not to replace John Franklin-Myers with a proven veteran. Instead, the combination of Sai'vion Jones, Eyioma Uwazurike and third-round pick Tyler Onyedim will get that opportunity.
Jordan has 132 sacks and can still line up and play, so there a lot worse ideas out there than to take a shot on him.
Von Miller, Edge
If Von Miller plays another season in the NFL, it should be in Denver, where his career started. He has stated repeatedly that he would like to come back to Denver, and adding him as a rotational edge rusher behind Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper makes sense.

Even at 36 years old, he racked up nine sacks for the Washington Commanders last season. He could give the Broncos a proven spark off the bench and bring added motivation to bring another Lombardi Trophy to the Mile High City.
