I’ve been playing RPG video games my whole life, and if I’m being honest, I’ve probably spent more time leveling up fictional characters than I have leveling up myself in real life.
Give me a skill tree, some side quests, and a slightly overpowered build, and I’m locked in for hours. Meanwhile, my actual “real world stats” could probably use a patch update.
There’s just something about RPGs, the progression, the story, the feeling that every little grind pays off, that hits differently than anything else.
