A former WWE star who bid adieu to her wrestling career three years back prematurely is willing to step inside the ring for a grand dream match. In a recent interview, Mandy Rose stated that she always wanted to wrestle Trish Stratus and might lace up her boots again if the match materialized down the line.
Rose's career came to a halt when she was released from WWE in December 2022 due to disagreements over the nature of her FanTime content. Since then, the former NXT Women's Champion has stayed out of in-ring competition. Earlier this month, Mandy Rose even proclaimed that she and John Cena had retired after having their last matches on the same day, i.e., December 13, of different years.
In a recent interview with Square Family Wrestling, the 35-year-old star was quizzed about her in-ring status and if there was any performer she was eager to wrestle. Rose was quick to mention Trish Stratus as someone she wanted to share a ring with.
"My dream match would probably be myself versus Trish Stratus," said Mandy Rose. (H/T - RingsideNews)Mandy Rose on WWE canceling her match against Asuka
Earlier this year, the former Toxic Attraction leader addressed rumors of WWE scrapping her planned match against Asuka at WrestleMania 35 for the SmackDown Women's Title. Mandy Rose said that even though there were some plans in place, things didn't work out for reasons unknown to her.
"Things just didn’t work out that way. It’s why I never got too excited for things in my career, or I never let things get to me too much, because it was always changing so quickly. I just never believed anything until it was right in front of me–before I went out in the ring. Everything changes so much, like the politics."Considering Rose has been non-committal about her future in the wrestling business, only time will tell if she ever makes it back to WWE.
