Welcome to another edition of WWE rumors we hope are true and we hope aren't. The Stamford-based promotion is now heading toward Survivor Series: WarGames.
The company has already started planting seeds for Team CM Punk vs. Team Vision. Additionally, they announced John Cena's Last Time is Now tournament. In between this, let's discuss three rumors we hope are true and three we hope aren't.
#6. Hope not true - WWE is not interested in Andrade's comeback
After being released from WWE, Andrade made his presence known in All Elite Wrestling. After attacking Kenny Omega and joining the Don Callis Family, the former US Champion disappeared from AEW TV, and reports revealed that he breached the 90-day non-compete clause of WWE.
Due to this, he is reported to be out of action for nearly a year, and many believe it might lead to his another WWE comeback. However, the source disclosed that there is no truth to this rumor, and Andrade's name has never been discussed for a return.
We hope the rumor is not true, and the Triple H creative team should consider Andrade in the near future, if he complies with all the policies.
#5. Hope true: Major news on Bianca Belair
It's been a long time since Bianca Belair appeared on WWE television. However, a report revealed that The EST was in the town where Saturday Night's Main Event recently took place. It's unclear whether she was backstage or not.
Though there is no return date yet, we hope the rumor is true, as Belair being in the same city as a WWE event hints that she could be backstage and nearing her in-ring return.
#4. Hope not true: Massive John Cena plans scrapped now
John Cena is already advertised to be part of Survivor Series: WarGames. Earlier, there were reports that Cena might face Dominik Mysterio in an IC Title match. Fans were happy with the news because the 17-time World Champion has never held the Intercontinental Title and has fallen short of becoming a Grand Slam Champion.
On RAW this week, Rey Mysterio made his return and confronted Dominik Mysterio. This angle is expected to set up the Rey vs. Dom IC Title match at Survivor Series. Reports also revealed that Triple H might have scrapped the plans for Cena vs. Dominik, especially after the comeback of the Hall of Famer.
We hope the rumor is not true, as this would be the last chance for The Cenation Leader to become the Grand Slam Champion in his in-ring career.
#3. Hope true: Drew McIntyre not leaving despite SNME loss
Fans are unhappy with the current booking of Drew McIntyre. Even though he had all the momentum, The Scottish Warrior suffered a crushing loss to Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event. The poor booking of McIntyre also sparked the prospect of him leaving the company soon.
Meanwhile, sources confirmed that McIntyre's WWE contract is expected to expire around WrestleMania 2028. This means that until then, Drew is not expected to leave World Wrestling Entertainment.
We hope the rumor is true and Drew won't leave the company after Saturday Night's Main Event.
#2. Hope not true: Logan Paul is Seth Rollins' WarGames replacement
LOGAN PAUL JUST KNOCKED OUT CM PUNK! 😱 Logan has picked his side... and clearly it's with The Vision. What is happening???
During RAW after SNME, Logan Paul made his comeback and pretended to be a babyface star against The Vision. However, in the main event, he showed his true colors and joined Paul Heyman's alliance.
The Vision and Logan Paul destroyed CM Punk and Jey Uso, hinting at a potential WarGames match at Survivor Series. Earlier, Seth Rollins was also anticipated to be part of it as he was The Vision leader, but a real-life injury caused major changes.
Reports disclosed that The Maverick has replaced The Visionary in the WarGames match and will be part of Team Vision for this battle. We hope the rumor isn’t true, as WWE should prefer someone like Brock Lesnar to replace Rollins. Logan is a great in-ring talent, but he lacks the star power comparable to The Architect.
#1. Hope true: WWE already discussed John Cena's 18th world title reign
This may sound unreal, but yes, the Triple-led promotion had already considered an 18th world title reign for John Cena. The source asserted that the real-life injury of Seth Rollins sparked the idea of Cena becoming an 18th World title holder, but the plans now seem to have changed.
This is why CM Punk defeated Jey Uso at SNME and won the vacant World Heavyweight Title. Although the chances are slim now, if Cena emerges as the 18th World Champion in his last showdown, it would be a massive way for him to hang up his boots permanently.
Later, Cena can vacate the WWE title and return to Hollywood.
