AEW is set to present its special Blood & Guts next week on Dynamite. The show will feature two huge Blood & Guts matches between some of the top stars in the Jacksonville-based promotion. In one of them, a team of Darby Allin will face Death Riders. Meanwhile, in the other one, AEW is set to host its first-ever women's match in the double-caged structure.
Therefore, fans have significant hype about the show as of now. Besides, AEW World Champion Hangman Page is also set to battle Powerhouse Hobbs in a marquee match. Considering the hype around the event, Tony Khan might have some surprises in store, including some shocking moments that might change AEW's landscape forever.
Let's discuss 3 wild predictions for Blood & Guts next week:
#3. Powerhouse Hobbs to defeat Hangman Page
Hangman Page and Powerhouse Hobbs will step foot in the ring in a high-stakes Falls Count Anywhere match. The AEW World Champion is currently involved in a feud with Samoa Joe and The Opps, and he will defend his title against Joe at Full Gear. AEW has the potential to shock the world by giving Hobbs a major upset win over The Anxious Millennial Cowboy ahead of his big title defense.
Considering the animosity, Joe is likely to interfere in this epic showdown to attack Page. It can open doors for Powerhouse Hobbs to put an end to the AEW World Champion and pick up a big win. Such an angle could add much-needed depth to the ongoing rivalry between Hangman and The Opps in All Elite Wrestling. Therefore, there is a good possibility that Tony Khan might pull off this surprise.
#2. Death Riders turn on Wheeler Yuta after their loss
Death Riders will battle Darby Allin, The Conglomeration, and Roderick Strong in the Blood & Guts match next week. Allin and his teams are determined to put down the wicked faction, and in order to do that, they are expected to target Wheeler Yuta. Over the past few months, Yuta has been one of the weaklings in Jon Moxley's faction.
Therefore, another loss for the Death Riders because of Yuta could very well punch his ticket out of the group. Following a potential defeat, Moxley might order the faction to ambush Wheeler in the ring to kick him out for good. Such an angle could kick off a new chapter for Moxley and his group in All Elite Wrestling in the coming months.
#1. Roderick Strong to turn heel at AEW Blood & Guts
Roderick Strong has been a part of the babyface team in the Men's Blood & Guts match next week. While the former WWE star has been a rival of Jon Moxley and his faction for the past few weeks, he has a chance to help the Death Riders next week due to his connection with his wife, Marina Shafir. Besides, Strong has been having a decent run as a babyface, but a heel turn has the potential to be a game-changer for his career.
Therefore, to shock the world on Dynamite next week, Roderick Strong might turn on Darby Allin and The Conglomeration. With a steel chair, he could sabotage the babyface team to help the Death Riders prevail. Such an angle could be a solid headliner coming out of the Blood & Guts event. Besides, it could lead to Strong joining the Jon Moxley-led faction down the line.
