The Minnesota Vikings had an injury scare last week when Aaron Jones exited with what looked like a painful rib injury. He was shown on the broadcast getting carted from the sideline to the locker room, but he was able to return to the field late in the Vikings’ ugly, 12-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jones eased any concerns this week when he was able to practice on Wednesday. He ramped up to full participation on Friday and will be a full-go on Sunday (1 p.m. EST) against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.
The Vikings (7-2) are about as healthy as a team could hope to be entering Week 11 of the regular season. The Titans (2-7) are still trying to learn how to win under first-year head coach Brian Callahan, and they have some notable injuries on defense that could make it tough against one of the most efficient offensive attacks in the NFL.
Here’s a full team-by-team injury breakdown, with the latest updates off of Friday’s final practice reports:
Vikings vs. Titans: Full injury designations
Minnesota Vikings
Out
- OLB Gabriel Murphy (knee)
Murphy was ruled out early this week. It could be more of a numbers game for the Vikings, as the exciting undrafted rookie out of UCLA practiced in full on both Thursday and Friday. He had his 21-day practice window opened on Nov. 6, so his NFL debut could be coming in Week 12. With Murphy remaining on injured reserve, Minnesota will have its full 53-man roster available against the Titans.
Tennessee Titans
Out
- CB L'Jarius Sneed (quad)
Sneed has been limited to just five games this season for the Titans, and some recent social media activity seems to hint that he’s been unhappy so far in Nashville. His absence shouldn’t present a ton of added opportunity for Minnesota, as Sneed has struggled to regain the form that earned him a four-year, $76.4 million free agent contract this offseason. Per PFF’s player grades, Sneed is ranked No. 109 — dead last — among cornerbacks in 2024.
- RT Leroy Watson IV (back)
Watson was unable to practice this week, meaning the Titans’ revolving door at right tackle will continue on Sunday. John Ojukwu, an undrafted free agent signing in 2023, filled in for Watson during last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Tennessee will go back to Nicholas Petit-Frere to start against Minnesota. The entire line figures to have its hands full against a Vikings defense that gets after the quarterback as well as any team in football.
Questionable
- CB Justin Hardee (groin)
The veteran was promoted from the practice squad on Nov. 2 and played a special teams role in each of the Titans’ last two games. He has yet to play a snap on defense this season. Hardee missed Thursday’s practice and was able to log a limited session on Friday.
