Two adults and a child were killed at a Minnesota daycare Wednesday morning – with an entire family believed to be dead in a horrific murder suicide that played out in front of a group of children.

A man, a woman and a child were found dead at a daycare in a home on the 200 block of Tyler Ave. North in Hopkins after police responded to frantic 911 calls around 9 a.m. local time, CBS News reported.

The victims were believed to be a family – with the father suspected of murdering his wife and child, then taking his own life, according to police.

It remains unclear what kind of weapon was used in the murders.

There were seven children at the daycare when the attack happened — with the murders apparently happening in full view of the other children.

A parent dropping their own off saw the attack happening and called police.

It remains unclear if the deceased child was among the seven counted at the daycare.

No other children were harmed besides the victim, and each was reunited with their parents, according to cops.

Hopkins is a suburb just southwest of Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called the attack a “critical incident” ahead of a speech Wednesday.

“I know that our hearts and our prayers are with the people of Hopkins and any families that have been impacted,” the mayor said.

“I have already touched base directly with [Hopkins] Mayor Hanlon, offered any assistance that we possibly can provide.”
