Every cat lover's soul is full of cats.

I feel as if the moment I became a cat person, a cat colony started to nest in my soul. I guess a person who was born a cat person - one of those kids who always grew up with cats and literally had no choice but to become the strongest of cat lovers - will not understand. Not because they don't have these soul-nesting cats within them - they have them just the same. They just don't know otherwise. I wasn't always a cat person, but in my mid-twenties, adopting a cat changed everything. And since then, I haven't just added an adorable cat into my life - I feel as if I added a bunch of cats into my soul, controlling everything that I do and think.

Cat people who were born into cat-loving just don't know the sharp difference that turning into a cat person makes in your life. So I came to the only logical conclusion to explain this phenomenon: cat people are controlled by soul cats that live inside them. Yeah, I don't see how anything else could make sense. Since becoming a cat person I constantly think about cats, about how I want to love them, pet them, and give them yummy treats. I also became much more cat-like, having random nighttime zoomies and craving other people's chicken. I don't really know how it makes sense - but with a cat in your soul that controls you, it does… doesn't it?

If you're like me, a late-bloomer cat lover, try to think of your life before and after you became one, and I'm sure you'll realize I'm right. Also, think about all the cat content you've been consuming since becoming a cat person, and compare it to the amount before. Sure, cat content is all over the internet, and you can't really avoid the meows and purrs of the online sphere - but at least for me, it's true that I crave the cat memes much more than when I used to call myself a dog person. And this is why I want more and more of them - and because I'm sure you do too, I have a bunch right here.
