The Chicago Bears have made big changes to their offense this offseason. One of their starters from 2024 could land with the New York Giants after an extended free agency.
The Bears traded for Keenan Allen last offseason from the Los Angeles Chargers. The trade did not yield the results the Bears had hoped for, and Allen finished the season with just 744 yards. While he scored seven touchdowns, he was often overshadowed by Rome Odunze as the team's No.2 option.
Allen is a free agent and remains unsigned. However, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox tabbed the Giants as one of the best landing spots for him.
"Allen can't run or shake coverage like he once did, and he's also dealt with soft-tissue injuries in recent years," wrote Knox. "However, he's still a savvy route-runner with reliable hands who can use spacing and leverage to get open. Allen would be a great fit for a team looking to develop a young quarterback. His experience would be valuable, and he could serve as a high-end security blanket as a third or fourth receiver."
The Giants drafted Jaxson Dart, but the plan is for Russell Wilson to be the starter. Jameis Winston is presumably going to be the backup. However, that does not rule out Dart seeing the field this season. Allen could be a great target for a young player. Additionally, he could complement Darius Slayton and Malik Nabers well.

Allen is projected to sign a two-year, $22 million deal in free agency. He has 11,274 career receiving yards and 66 touchdowns. He would be a cheaper addition, and his experience could be an asset for their younger players. His time with the Bears did not go as anyone had hoped, but he could be motivated to prove he can still play at a high level.
