A 15-year-old boy wanted for assault was busted for allegedly bringing a loaded gun to his Queens public high school this week, police and law enforcement sources said.
Police found the weapon stashed in the teen’s backpack when they showed up to Long Island City High School on Broadway near 14th Street in Astoria to arrest him around 12:50 p.m. Monday, according to cops and the sources.
He was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said.

No further details about that incident were immediately available.
The incident comes less than a week after a 16-year-old boy was nabbed with a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in his coat pocket at Cascades High School on the Lower East Side, cops and sources said.
A day earlier, an 11-year-old girl stabbed a 12-year-old boy inside IS 218 on Gerard Avenue near East 167th Street in the Concourse section of the Bronx, cops and sources said.
