$13.8 million QB lands at Mississippi State out of transfer portal

Jaden Rashada is back in the SEC after committing to Mississippi State, according to ESPN.

Rashada was one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 recruiting class, finishing as a four-star prospect and a top-35 overall player. His recruitment became one of the most unpredictable in recent memory after a highly-publicized NIL dispute with Florida.

A proposed deal worth nearly $14 million fell through. Rashada later sued former coach Billy Napier and others over the failed agreement.

Rashada played his freshman season at the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2023, starting three games before a season-ending knee injury. He then transferred to Georgia, where he did not appear in a game, before moving on to Sacramento State.

Last season, Rashada threw for 264 yards and one touchdown over six games. He has two years of eligibility remaining. He will join a Mississippi State offense in need of catching some momentum.
