Zendaya Reacts to Tom Holland AI Wedding Photos
Tom Holland and Zendaya are embarking on a new odyssey.
Indeed, the couple appear together—albeit, briefly—in the trailer for their upcoming movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiering July 31.
Though in this installment, the duo—who will star alongside Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal and Tramell Tillman—are seen spending most of their time apart as Peter Parker (Tom) has voluntarily erased himself and those memories from those closest to him, including MJ (Zendaya).
Brand New Day is the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise starring Tom and Zendaya, who confirmed their romance in 2021. The pair, who Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach said had recently tied the knot, also costar in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Odyssey epic, premiering July 17.
And despite the notion that “people might think it's awkward” to act alongside her partner, the Euphoria actress has emphasized that it’s quite the opposite.
“On set, he has this huge calming presence that not only puts me at ease but also everybody he works with,” she told Mirror in January. “I might be a little biased but he is not only my favorite person, he is [also] my favorite person to work with.”
However, Zendaya has a love-hate relationship with the idea of having a public romance.
“Neither of us want to hide and not live our lives and do normal things like go out for dinner, but at the same time we want to protect our privacy,” she continued. “You have to accept that to a degree some aspects of your privacy are going to be out of your control. But the parts that are in our control, we fiercely protect.”
Still, Tom is grateful to have someone who understands his experience.
"I'm lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life," he said during his Smartless podcast appearance in July 2023. "It's interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you."
As he put it, “You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff—and that's worth its weight in gold."
