The Drama’s Zendaya, Robert Pattinson Share Surprising Trait They Have in Common
Here comes the fashionista, all dressed in classic white.
Indeed, Zendaya attended The Drama premiere in Los Angeles on March 17 wearing the classic silk Vivienne Westwood gown that she first sported at the 2015 Academy Awards.
The full-length dress features an off-the-shoulder draped neckline and a corset waist with a column skirt and a small train. For her glam, Zendaya—who plays a newlywed alongside Robert Pattinson in the film—wore her hair in a bob with a sideswept bang.
As for the jewels? The Spider-Man actress wore a pair of chandelier earrings by Chopard and her personal engagement ring presented to her by fiancé Tom Holland.
Though it’s been over a decade later since she last wore the Vivienne Westwood look, Zendaya’s latest ensemble has a bit of a new meaning. In fact, according to Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach, the 29-year-old’s dress—which she originally styled with chic locs—is a callback to an old wedding adage.
“Zendaya bringing ‘The Drama’ in the same @viviennewestwood Bridal Gown she wore to the 2015 Oscars and @chopard jewels,” Law wrote in a March 17 Instagram carousel featuring a video of Zendaya working the look on the carpet. “Our ‘Something Old.’”
For Zendaya, reworking the look gave her the chance to breathe new life into one of her most talk-about fashion choices.
“I was brainstorming with Law about how I would theme dress for this film,” Zendaya told Variety on March 17. “And I remembered the saying, ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. So, this is my something old.”

“I thought I’d bring it back and give it a new life,” she continued. “It meant so much to me this dress. It was such an important moment for myself, for my community for my loved ones. It felt right and it also happens to be a wedding dress. So that works.”
And as for Zendaya walking down the aisle in a wedding dress of her own, the Dune star has seen all the buzz surrounding her and Tom’s marital status, including those AI photos.
"Many people have been fooled by them," she said during her March 16 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "while I was just out and about in real life and people are like, 'Oh my God, you're wedding photos are gorgeous,' and I was like, 'Babe, they're AI. They're not real.'"
