It's only because this person was paying attention that they were able to see her and catch her. And without them, she probably would not have made it through the night, let alone an entire winter.

Most cat adoption stories outline how the cat needed a home, someone to love them, to care for them - and how they got exactly what they needed. Hearing about a cat that receives all the help they deserve is always heartwarming (especially in this cold weather, right?). But sometimes you'll hear an adoption story that had a two-way street for the help given. Some cats are the purrfect match for the human who needed them, even if they didn't know they needed them at all.

Seriously, ask yourself, dear fellow feline fanatic fans - what would you do in this situation? You walk into your backyard, it's raining (and probably has been raining for a long time now), and the cold temperatures of winter are creeping through to your bones. But then, a faint, high-pitched meow can be heard through the howling wind and dropping water. A kitten's cry for help. You're both curious and worried, and follow the sound to see a puddle full to the brim with a pile of precious little kittens. They're drenched, cold, and meowing.

Some cats are in shelters for a long time, years even, for the silliest reasons. Maybe they are senior cats, maybe they are black cats, maybe they're something else. For some reason, they become the "cat that no one wants", and they have to live with a fate that they do not deserve.

  We're not here to question the Cat Distribution System, on the contrary, we're here to preach its purrfect powers of purrception. Because without the CDS, so many cats would be left outside, without families, struggling to survive. But that's not the case for our lucky, 4-week-old kitten below. Helpless, she took cover under a stray piece of plastic during a snowstorm. She became so frozen that her fur was completely covered in ice, the only thing left she could do was meow for help.

  It's not often that you come across a story as crazy as this one. We have seen cat reunions. We love stories about cats reuniting with their owners - a few weeks missing, a year missing, seven years missing. We have even seen stories of cats reuniting with their siblings. But the circumstances of this reunion are ones that we don't think that we have ever come across, and quite frankly, we hope it never has to happen again.
