Josh Allen doesn't want to be too hyped up before a football game.
In fact, the Buffalo Bills' superstar quarterback goes for quite the mellow vibe.
In a new interview released by People, Allen reveals his pregame musical tastes. And they might not be what you'd expect.
“I just try to listen to very slow old-school stuff to try to keep the heart rate down,” Allen told People. “A lot of Elvis, a lot of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., Billy Joel. So it's a lot of songs that are just very slow tempo, and I try to relax, try to find myself in a good spot and think of good things that are about to happen.”
Those are definitely some vibes.

We often picture athletes listening to more upbeat tunes in their headphones before games, though.
Allen would rather be mellowed out before going out and throwing touchdowns and running over defenders.
His recipe clearly has worked.
Last season, Allen won his first NFL MVP award. And for the past handful of years, he's been one of the very best players in football.

This season, the Bills started 4-0, then lost two straight games before their bye week.
Buffalo rebounded on Sunday to improve to 5-2 with a 40-9 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Allen broke an NFL record held by Cam Newton by passing for a TD and running for a TD in the same game for the 46th time in his career.
Other quarterbacks should be asking Josh for that pregame playlist, because it keeps on getting the job done.
