Kim Clijsters has undergone yet another surgery after she ruptured her Achilles again amid recovering from her injury at the Luxembourg legends exhibition. The tennis world, including Chris Evert, Caroline Wozniacki, and more, shared touching messages for the Belgian on social media.

The 42-year-old recently sustained an Achilles tendon fracture during her stint at the Luxembourg Ladies Legends Exhibition. She underwent surgery, and while she was two weeks into recovery, she faced another accident at her home.

The Belgian ruptured her achilles again after falling on the bathroom floor. She had to undergo another surgery and has recently shared her injury update on Instagram.

"I had to restart. I think I was about almost two weeks into the recovery and was at home and I had to go pee in the middle of the night and ended up losing my balance and it was either a fall on my face or put my bad foot down and I guess it was a natural instinct or reaction to put my foot down and while I did that, I think I really hurt my Achillles again. Had to go for an MRI afew days later and it ended up being ruptured again which means that exactly a week ago I had another surgery so I had to start over and, yeah, it was very frustrating," said Kim Clijsters.

The update garnered the attention of the tennis world as prominent personalities left messages in the comment section. The former tennis player Chris Evert encouraged Clijsters with a note that read:

The Danish tennis player, Wozniacki, also penned a sweet wish that read:

Andy Roddick's wife, Brooklyn Decker, also wrote a touching message that read:

The former Italian tennis player also penned a note that read:

"❤️💪"

Kim Clijsters made her feelings known about suffering an injury at the Luxembourg Legends exhibition

In October 2025, Kim Clijsters participated at the Luxembourg Legends Exhibition. However, this event did not pan out as expected because she faced an Achilles tendon fracture at the event. Shortly after undergoing surgery, she shared a video on Instagram, making her feelings known about the injury.

"I am in a hospital, as you can probably tell. Ended up rupturing my Achilles tendon yesterday at the event in Luxembourg, which was not fun, but I'm on the road to recovery now. The next two weeks I'll be in this boot. Very annoying injury, obviously. I didn't think that after I would be retired that I would have a big, serious injury like this, but it is what it is, so I can't wait to get to the States and be with Brian and the kids and start my recovery," said Kim Clijsters.

Kim Clijsters expressed gratitude toward everyone who sent her messages for her speedy recovery. She kept alive her positive spirits despite the injury.
