Robbie Burnett had a massive final season of college baseball.
Somehow, though, the Georgia star went undrafted in 20 rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft.
The New York Yankees pounced on Tuesday, signing Burnett to an undrafted free agent deal, per Olivia Sayer of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Burnett just hit .307 with 20 homers, 66 RBI and 17 stolen bases. his OPS was 1.169.
It was the second baseman's first year with the Bulldogs. At 5-foot-10, he packs quite the pop into his bat.
Burnett's first three college seasons were spent at UNC-Asheville, and he became a bigger slugger as he went along.

In 2022, he hit five homers. It was 13 in 2023, then 18 in 2024 to earn the transfer to Georgia.
Burnett struggled on the Cape the last two summers, which may have turned off some MLB teams.
But the Yankees are taking the chance that they can take his production this spring and turn it into a player who can move up the organizational ladder.
