It's hard to know how good a new player is at fielding, even if the numbers and accolades tell a good story.
Sometimes, it just takes a special moment to recognize the brilliance.
Ryan McMahon provided that in his New York Yankees debut on Saturday.
The new third baseman from the Colorado Rockies made an absurd diving play to his backhand side and then showed off a rocket arm to get the out at first.

That's Brooks Robinson-esque, absolutely brilliant.
The Yankees will love to see that, and if McMahon can get his lefty power swing going, too, with that short right field porch at the Stadium, it'll be even better.
