Six relievers are soon-to-be free agents out of the New York Yankees bullpen in 2026.
Closer David Bednar, Paul Blackburn, Ryan Yarbrough, John Schreiber, Michael Fulmer, and Tim Hill will become unrestricted free agents.
The Yankees would love to retain Bednar, their reliable closer who converted 35 of 39 saves this year.
They can extend the right-hander the $23.15 million qualifying offer, but he may reject it to seek a multi-year deal.
New York's front office will be looking to make bullpen additions this winter, and The Athletic's Jim Bowden tabbed them as a potential suitor for a dominant lefty who they were reportedly interested in at the trade deadline.
"[Adrian] Morejon has been one of the best high-leverage multi-inning relievers in the sport the past couple of years. While he hasn't regularly held the closer role in San Diego, he is clearly capable of being a lockdown closer.
"This season, he appeared in 76 games, posting an impressive 2.83 ERA with a whopping 107 strikeouts in just 86 innings," Bowden wrote.

He projects Morejon will sign a three-year, $42 million contract this offseason. In recent years, the Yankees typically don't hand out large deals to relievers.
That may have to change this offseason, especially if they are interested in both Bednar and Morejon for next year's bullpen.
If they manage to land Morejon, it would be hard to argue against the Yankees having the best one-two punch for a pair of relievers in the Majors.
